Urgent Appeal for China Earthquake Relief Donations

In the afternoon of May 12th, an 8.0-magnitude earthquake hit Chengdu, Sichuan. The death toll has reached 32,000 by the report of 5/19/08. The survivors are in desperate need for medical attention, shelter, food, and water. Overseas Chinese everywhere are reaching out to the victims. Chinese Americans in Florida equally feel the pain and loss of their countrymen.

CASEC (Chinese Association of Science, Economics and Culture of South Florida) urges its members and all sympathetic people Chinese or American to send donations to help China! CASEC's first donation check of $10,000 was put in mail on 5/16/08, two days after the Appeal, to China via Houston Consulate General. 

China needs help right now, more than ever! Let's chip in our donations to tell our countrymen "We care about them!" Great thanks for your support in advance! Please feel free to choose the most comfortable way you like or any of the three ways below:
  1. Donation online at: http://www.acteva.com/booking.cfm?bevaid=159963. You will have a choice to post your name and/or donation amount on CASEC web site as below or not. A receipt for tax deduction will be available online right after your transaction. Thanks for your generosity in advance! CASEC online donation account will be closed on 6/1/08.
  2. Write a check payable to CASEC-China Earthquake Relief and mail it to our Fundraising VP Qing Jin's address as: CASEC-China Earthquake Relief, 7462 Greenville Circle, Lake Worth, 33467. We will announce your name and /donation amount on CASEC web site, unless otherwise specified. Thanks for your support in advance! CASEC-China Earthquake Relief bank account will be closed on 6/30/08.
  3. Donation by a bank transfer. Press release to be made for the Chinese newspaper - United Chinese Americans of Florida (Da Zhong Bao). Note: Detailed bank info will be available ASAP.
